Unipol Gruppo S.p.A. is the second insurance group in the Italian market, the first in the Non-Life Business, and among the top ten in Europe. Its ordinary shares have been listed on the Italian Stock Exchange since 1990 and are included in the FTSE MIB index. Its main shareholders are some companies of the Italian cooperative movement. It counts over 14,000 employees and serves nearly 15 million customers, thanks to the largest agency network in Italy.

Pierluigi Stefanini is the Chairman, while Carlo Cimbri holds the position of Chief Executive Officer, General Manager and Group CEO.

The Group implements an integrated offer strategy to provide the widest range of insurance and financial products and services, and is particularly active in the areas of supplementary pension and health insurance, with the aim of offering more security and confidence in the future to individuals, households and businesses, accompanying their choices in regard of protection, savings and quality of life, and ensuring a sustainable long-term growth for the benefit of all its stakeholders: shareholders, customers, agents, employees, suppliers and communities.

In the sector of insurance services, it operates mainly through UnipolSai Assicurazioni S.p.A., a company also listed on the Stock Exchange, the leader in Italy in Non-Life Business, in particular motor vehicle TPL.
Moreover, it has operations in the sector of direct insurance with Linear Assicurazioni, health care with the specialised company UniSalute and it operates in the bancassurance channel through an agreement with Unipol Banca and the joint ventures created with leading Italian banking industry operators. The subsidiary companies also include some service companies specifically dedicated to the repair and management of Black-Boxes for the motor vehicle business.

In the sector of banking services, it has operations with Unipol Banca, which focuses on retail and small business segments with a range covering all banking services and products.

In the real estate sector, it is one of the major players in Italy in terms of assets: it is in fact the owner of properties of great historic, symbolic and architectural value, to enhance which it has been developing the project Urban Up, which aims to study and put in place the renovation of important buildings in its ownership.

Through its subsidiary company UnipolSai, it is also a major player in the Italian hotel sector thanks to the chains Atahotels and UNA Hotels & Resorts, in the farming sector with Tenute del Cerro and in the sector of marinas with Marina di Loano.

In recent years, the Unipol Group has strengthened its brand awareness among the economic and financial community with a greater presence on new media, with a view to the strategic integration of all corporate communication channels. Corporate profiles were thus created progressively on LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and on the blog Changes, to increase the visibility of the many projects and initiatives that demonstrate the commitment with which Unipol transmits its corporate values and promotes the events related to the same.
