The company operates through the largest agency network in Italy, with around 3,000 insurance agencies and over 5,700 sub-agencies distributed across the country, through which it offers a full range of insurance products and services, and is the undisputed leader in insurance telematics for the Motor Vehicle Business.
Alongside the traditional channel, UnipolSai also has operations in the bancassurance channel thanks to an agreement with Unipol Banca and the joint ventures Popolare Vita (with the banking group Banco BPM), BIM Vita (with Banca Intermobiliare) and Incontra Assicurazioni (with the Unicredit Group).
Its subsidiaries include SIAT and the service companies Auto Presto & Bene, AlfaEvolution Technology and Pronto Assistance.
It also has operations in Serbia through the local third company, DDOR Novi Sad.
The importance of the real estate sector has been increasing in recent years: UnipolSai holds numerous prestigious real properties, for the enhancement and renovation of which it has developed the project Urban Up for the rehabilitation of buildings with a historic importance owned by the company, especially in the cities of Milan and Turin. It is also the owner of Marina di Loano, a marina in Liguria that can accommodate more than 800 boats.
Finally, the business development of diversified companies continues. This includes the hotel chain Atahotels, which since 2016 has brought together the facilities of Atahotels and Una Hotels & Resorts and manages 43 hotels in some of the major cities and most renowned Italian tourist resorts. In the agricultural sector the company operates through Tenute del Cerro, which owns about 4,300 hectares of land in central Italy and is the national benchmark for the production of high quality wine.
UnipolSai is listed on the MTA market of the Italian Stock Exchange and is included in the FTSE MIB index, which contains higher capitalization securities.
In recent years, UnipolSai has strengthened its brand awareness among the economic and financial community with a greater presence on new media, with a view to the strategic integration of all corporate communication channels.
